SUBSTITUTE Cafeteria Helpers

Work various hours/shifts in our building kitchens/cafeterias, readying meals for the students and cleaning up afterward. Rate of pay is $10.00 per hour. Substitutes are used to cover our regular staff when they are out of the building. We make advance calls when possible, but most calls will be the morning of the day we need coverage. There is no guarantee of a certain number of hours per day/week/month/year, since you would only be called on an as-needed basis. While substitutes are not considered regular employees of the district, it is a great way to "get your foot in the door" should you wish to work for us down the road. Whenever openings occur, we must first offer them to current regular staff per union contract language. But anytime there is no qualified internal interest, we normally look next to our subs because they already have experience in our buildings. Fingerprinting required, $50 payable at time of service via check/cash only. Substitutes must be a high school graduate.
