Job Title: Respiratory Therapist RRT Location: Southfield, MI 48075 Contract Length: 13 Weeks Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Hours Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gas therapy to patients. The role includes performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice units. The therapist will communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff, accurately document patient care, and complete required billing information. May supervise and provide guidance to respiratory staff, students, and externs as assigned. Responsibilities: Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and life-support care Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures Monitor and assess patients in ICU and general units Maintain accurate documentation and billing records Communicate patient care updates with the healthcare team Supervise and support respiratory staff and students when assigned Required Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience Education Requirements: Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program Bachelor's degree preferred Required Certifications & Licensure: Registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Current Respiratory Therapist License State of Michigan BLS certification (AHA required) Preferred Experience: Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) experience Experience in a Level 2 Trauma facility
