Position Nuclear Medicine Technologist Category Medical Services Description Job Summary:To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.Major Duties / Critical Tasks: Practices proper entries and records on the imaging system and radiology information system. Prepares patient for nuclear medicine procedures by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education. Operates computer and nuclear medicine equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Prepares patients films for interpretation by nuclear medicine physician. Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity. Practices safety measures in nuclear medicine and Environment of Care. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Performs other related duties as required.Supervision: Reports To: Site AdministratorRequired Education / Experience: Associates degree or equivalent in related field. Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program, NMTCB or ARRT-N registered or registry eligible.Equipment: Standard Nuclear Medicine Equipment Office EquipmentWorking Environment: Standard Outpatient Environment.
