Respiratory Neuro Diagnostics Specialist

Job Summary: The Respiratory Neuro Diagnostics Specialist provides respiratory care to both NICU and adult patient populations. This role requires proficiency in ventilator management, medication administration, and airway management, with the ability to float between campuses. The position involves working with a diverse patient age group and requires strong professional knowledge and skills in respiratory therapy.Location:Seattle, Washington, United StatesResponsibilities: - Manage patients on up to 5 ventilators and handle 6-8 RVUs. - Perform pulmonary function tests. - Manage airway using devices such as nasal airways, oral airways, and tracheostomies, including suctioning. - Administer respiratory medications, including Albuterol, Nitric Oxide, and Tobramycin. - Set up and manage various medication delivery systems, including aerosol masks and nebulizers. - Manage ventilators, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency oscillators, and troubleshoot alarms. - Interpret ABG results and perform basic EKG. - Document patient care in electronic medical database systems.Required Skills & Certifications: - ACLS certification - BLS certification - NRP certification - PALS certification - RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification - WA State Respiratory Therapist License - Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU and adult respiratory care - Experience in Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, and Peds - Proficiency in using Draeger and Servo I ventilators - EPIC skillsPreferred Skills & Certifications: - Experience in a Pulmonary Function Test LabSpecial Considerations: - Must be willing to cover both NICU and adult patient populations. - Must be open to floating to other campuses. - Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. - No on-call requirements. - Previous employees of Providence-affiliated facilities must be separated for a minimum of 3 months to qualify.Scheduling: - Specific shift type not provided. - Start date must be in late May or early June.
