An Operating Room Registered Nurse plays a vital role within an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. This role operates under a governance model that supports evidence-based nursing practices, professional standards, and patient advocacy. Key Responsibilities: Implement comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver patient-centered perioperative care. Provide culturally sensitive care tailored to specific patient populations. Partner closely with patients and families using effective communication methods to support care goals. Collaborate in diverse interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and quality documentation and care delivery. Engage actively in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and shared governance initiatives. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster staff development and a healthy work environment. Uphold legal, regulatory, and organizational standards including patient safety goals. Support resource-efficient care planning and participate in policy and protocol development. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Associate or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Current RN license (single-state or multi-state Compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred but not required. Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills. Ability to respond calmly and effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations. Proficiency with technology and basic computer skills. Schedule & Hours: Day shift, 3 to 12-hour shifts. On-call rotation with a 30-minute callback requirement.
