Join an innovative healthcare team as an Ultrasound Technologist, providing critical imaging services in a dynamic emergency department setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with advanced technology in a newly opened facility, supporting acute care patients in a free-standing emergency department environment. Location: Positioned in Huntersville, NC, this role supports a 10-bed free-standing emergency department with no trauma designation. The department averages 15 patient visits daily and performs approximately 5 ultrasound studies each day. The facility provides 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services, utilizing cutting-edge equipment and electronic medical record systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform general emergency department ultrasound imaging on a diverse patient population. Conduct vital signs assessments, assist with patient transport, and support psych patient observation when not engaged in imaging tasks. Collaborate closely with other staff from various specialties/modalities to ensure efficient department operation. Support ultrasound needs across multiple facilities including the Ballantyne FSED and Providence FSED during night shifts. Utilize EMR (Epic), RIS (Epic Radiant), and PACS (Philips iSite) effectively in daily tasks. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years' ultrasound technologist experience, with openness to first-time travelers. Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory. Skills in general ultrasound imaging along with willingness to perform general vitals, EKGs, and sitter duties (training provided as needed). Ability to assist with patient movement and lab processes when department is busy. Benefits and Perks: Free surface parking available.
