Plant Accountant

Job DescriptionOur client, a Fortune 200 Global Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Plant Account. You will be the on-site financial partner with plant leadership while owning day-to-day accounting operations and asset control. You'll support decision-making through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, inventory and cost management and analysis.ResponsibilitiesProvide support with financial and statistical information to drive operational and cost-based decisions.Prepare/assist with prep of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and monthly/annual closing activities and reports.Oversee core accounting functions for the plant.Maintain accurate inventory and asset records, including physical inventory audits, work-in-process, and asset inventory controls.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting and 5+ years of accounting experience.Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.Strong experience with general ledger, cost accounting, inventories, and month-end/year-end close processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. SAP Experience is a plus.Strong business acumen and communication skills to partner effectively with leadership and across functions.Ability to work onsite 4 days/week.
