POSITION SUMMARY:**THIS POSITION IS FOR OUR GRAND BLANC LOCATION** !!We offer a competitive salary, retention bonus and benefits!!The BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is primarily responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior plans based on these assessments. The BCBA is to ensure the effective implementation of all treatment plans and programming for their clients as described by the fundamental responsibilities.RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:Adheres to professional and legal requirements, the principles of behavior analysis and demonstrates sound professional judgment at all timesMaintain BCBA continuing education courses that are necessary by the BACB (32 credits every 2 years)Willing to collaborate with other services (PT, OT, Speech) that their clients are providedCollaborates with families, caregivers and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of carePerforms direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of client's behaviorsDevelops a treatment plan (including behavior support plan) based on the functions of the behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence-basedAttends all relevant meetings for clients, including treatment team meetings, IEP/ISP (as allowed/needed)Adequately demonstrates their abilities to work effectively as a part of a clinical teamAttends insurance authorization review calls for their clientsCollects data before and during the implementation of the plan so that the plan's efficacy can be assessed and data-based decisions can be madeProvides direct instruction/ongoing supervision, training and support to clients, staff members and family membersEvaluates the effectiveness of the implemented treatment plan and modifies the plan as necessaryUpon receiving information from the Lead Clinical Supervisor, the BCBA will initiate services with new clients in a timely mannerManages, prepares and submits all required documentation on time (includes, but is not limited to: assessments, treatment plans/BSPs, insurance updates as required, session notes after every session, at least monthly analysis of the data, updating the treatment plans as needed, participation in calls with insurance companies, etc.)Communicates regularly and works closely with the Lead Clinical SupervisorSupervises & monitors progress of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) (includes practicum students)Conducts ABA Technician's Annual Evaluations & Goal SettingResponsible for submitting authorizations, requesting adjustments, assessments & treatments to insurance carriers for approvalKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordinglyEffective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one timeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors and community membersAbility to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardCommitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA lawsCommitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics and technology in order to perform job responsibilities to required standardsMust maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair and make-upBASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipmentAbility to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal directionMust be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of timeMust be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of timeMust be willing and able to hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behaviorMust have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collectionMust be physically present at assigned job locationMust be able to receive detailed information through oral communicationMust have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices and paper meansMust have reliable transportationEXPERIENCE:Experience in implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis preferredEDUCATION:Must have MA degree in related field and BCBA certification number (certification must be kept up to date)REPORTING STRUCTURE:Immediate Supervisor: Clinical DirectorRELATED TRAINING:Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed; including, but not limited to: CPR, CPI/QBS, etc... trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed by the.
