This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This position offers the opportunity to support cutting-edge technology initiatives that help expand access and improve outcomes for our patients.Job Summary: The Virtual MRI Onsite Operator supports a credentialed Virtual Steering MRI Technologist with virtual MRI scanning by serving as the hands-on support at the imaging site. This position is responsible for preparing patients, ensuring compliance with MRI safety protocols (Zones 3 & 4), managing equipment setup, and monitoring scans conducted by the Virtual Steering MRI technologists.This position serves as a pathway into our Technology Advancement Academy, offering a unique opportunity to cross-train into MRI. It allows you to explore whether MRI is an area of interest while gaining hands-on experience and foundational knowledge. Successful participants may have the opportunity to transition into our Technology Advancement Academy to further develop their skills and advance their career in MRI.Duties/Responsibilities:Demonstrates the company's values in daily activitiesGreeting, screening, changing, and preparing patients for MRI scans, ensuring comfort and safety.Sets up the MRI suite and patient table in accordance with the protocol for each exam.Performs venipuncture and administers IV contrast when applicable and credentialed.Assists with setup and management of power injectors as needed (dependent on site vendor and remote capabilities).Serves as the onsite safety observer and technical aide during the virtual MRI scanning process.Assists with on-site patient emergencies until further medical help arrives.Maintains strict compliance with MRI safety policies, especially related to Zones 3 and 4.Resets and cleans the MRI suite between patients, including coil changes and room preparation.Communicates effectively with the remote steering technologist to coordinate scanning, troubleshoot issues, and ensure image quality.Assists Virtual Steering MRI Technologist with documentation of any issues, patient reactions, or equipment concerns.Completes other tasks and projects as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocolsKnowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelinesKnowledge of MRI principles and scanning workflow.Knowledge of and adherence to MRI safety protocols and potential hazards.Knowledge of MRI equipment, including coils, scanners, and injectors.Knowledge of medical terminology.Knowledge of basic-level computer skillsSkill in basic technology troubleshooting (e.g., headset/audio resets, injector issues, connectivity).Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completionSkill in written and verbal communicationSkill in patient observation, with the ability to recognize patient discomfort or MRI safety risks during the scan.Ability to manage patient flow and room turnover efficiently and safely.Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast-paced or high-stress environment.Ability to be flexible and adaptable to constant changeAbility to effectively handle details with accuracyAbility to manage schedule to ensure work is completedAbility to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassionAbility to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next levelAbility to convey complex subject matter clearly and engaginglyEducation and Experience:Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology12 months of previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality ARRT certification in Radiology and a valid State licenseIV credentialed if applicable BLS certification Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Prior MRI experience or MRI safety training strongly preferred.Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
