JOB SUMMARY:Oversees the implementation of safety programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Drives continuous improvements through the identification of hazards through data collection and routine inspections, along with the implementation of corrective actions or other safety protocols. Champions change, and the safety program through communication and training of associates to help with understanding of roles and monitoring of working conditions. PRIMARY DUTIES (ESSENTIAL): Manage safety program at the plant Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations Oversee the development and implementation of EHS training programs Ensure safety policies are effectively communicated and followed Lead the incident response investigation and reporting process Lead the Safety Committee Ensure associates receive appropriate training in safe operating practices, including all OSHA training requirements, by conducting or coordinating external training Maintain all records of safety programs Lead team in the Risk Management process (TABRA) Collect and analyze environmental and safety data, create reports, and present statistical analysis to leadership. Also prepares status reports for HQ Safety. Monitor waste management operations in compliance with environmental regulations, including waste handling and disposal Conducts moderately complex technical duties related to EHS assessments Leads team through complex safety issues and programs by collaborating with leadership (coaching and developing leaders in safety areas) and associates to promote a safe work environment Leading cultural shifts toward proactive safety behaviors Data Analysis & Metrics: Use of incident data, leading indicators, and trend analysis to drive decisions. Manage safety-related projectsCOMPETENCY/KSA REQUIREMENTS: Leader Strong Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood conflict resolution skills Foster a strong safety cultureEDUCATION : Bachelor Degree Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferredEXPERIENCE: 2-5 years
