American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of acute care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a 204-bed acute care hospital in Loxahatchee, FL.Job Details• Respiratory Therapy unit with 12 beds at a 204-bed acute care medical/surgical facility specializing in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and Women's Services,• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 2:1,• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Equipment used includes oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizers, suction machines, and CPAP/BiPAP machines,• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred),• Night shift staffing is on-call team-based and varies by volume,Job Requirements• Active RRT license and certification required (license required if applicable),• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience,• Active experience within the last 6 months in the role required,• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS - AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start,• NRP required if caring for neonates,• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration - no Canadian SSN accepted,• Two professional references required (Florida),• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible,• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,Additional Information• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory conditions including asthma, pneumonia, emphysema, and respiratory insufficiency,• Works within a close-knit team alongside a director, lead RRT, and 2-3 additional RRTs on day shift; night shift coverage varies by volume,• Stroke education and experience preferred; NRP certification is a plus,• Gray scrubs required for Respiratory Therapy staff,• First-time travelers will be considered,• The facility is an HCA Healthcare network hospital that continues to expand with the latest technological advances and patient safety initiatives
