Fully OnsiteOverviewThe Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is seeking an experienced Director of Recovery Services to lead and oversee recovery behavioral health and substance use disorder programs within the Department of Behavioral Medicine.This leadership position supervises program directors and recovery program leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and high-quality behavioral health services.This role is ideal for experienced Clinical Supervisors, Program Managers, Behavioral Health Managers, or Program Directors who are ready to step into a director level leadership role and oversee recovery treatment services.The Director will collaborate with executive leadership, clinical teams, and regulatory agencies to strengthen program performance and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant behavioral health care.ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership and Oversight• Provide leadership and strategic oversight of recovery behavioral health and substance use disorder programs• Supervise, support, and evaluate program directors and recovery leadership staff• Establish and maintain program missions, goals, and service objectives aligned with organizational priorities• Ensure high quality service delivery across recovery treatment programsProgram Development and Operations• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures consistent with local and state regulations• Support program development, operational improvements, and service expansion• Coordinate program activities across departments to improve service integration• Monitor program effectiveness and implement continuous quality improvement initiativesRegulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and licensing standards• Coordinate regulatory surveys and program reviews as required• Maintain compliance with documentation, reporting, and operational requirements• Monitor program performance data and outcomes for quality improvementStaff Leadership and Workforce Development• Direct hiring, evaluation, and performance management of program directors• Support training, orientation, and continuing education initiatives for recovery staff• Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain job descriptions and staffing standards• Foster a collaborative and mission driven work culture within the divisionFinancial and Administrative Oversight• Participate in program budget planning and financial monitoring in collaboration with department administration• Coordinate the collection of operational and client data for reporting and regulatory purposes• Maintain regular communication with the Behavioral Medicine Chair regarding program needs, operations, and challengesOrganizational Leadership• Participate in departmental and institutional committees• Serve as a consultant to other behavioral health programs and departments• Represent the division in organizational initiatives and community engagement efforts• Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assignedQualificationsEducation• Master's degree in behavioral health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field requiredExperience• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in behavioral health services• At least 2 years of clinical, supervisory, or program leadership experience required• Experience supervising clinical staff, counselors, or recovery treatment teams strongly preferredCertifications and Licensure• Certification in Addiction Counseling (CAC) or similar credential preferred• Professional licensure preferred but not requiredPreferred Experience• Experience working with recovery treatment programs or substance use disorder services• Experience working with forensic or justice involved populations highly desirableKnowledge, Skills, and Competencies• Strong leadership and program management skills• Knowledge of behavioral health treatment models and addiction recovery services• Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in behavioral health programs• Ability to supervise and mentor clinical leadership staff• Strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning abilities• Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and implement quality improvement initiativesWork Environment• Fully onsite leadership role within a behavioral health recovery treatment environment• Work may involve walking through clinical and recovery patient care areas• Flexible scheduling may occasionally be required
