American Traveler is hiring a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with IR, NIR, and vascular experience for a 13-week assignment at an academic medical center.Job Details• Interventional Radiology department at an academic medical center,• Multi-modality imaging environment utilizing fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, IVUS, single-plane and bi-plane digital imaging systems, power injector, AngioJet, Penumbra, EKOS, CT fusion, iGuide technology, radiofrequency, microwave, and cryoablation equipment,• IMPAX used for image transmission; Siemens equipment experience preferred,• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM,• Local candidates will be reviewed first,Job Requirements• ARRT certification required; must maintain registry status and annual continuing education requirements,• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) or ACLS certification required,• Associate's degree from an accredited program or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences program required,• IR, NIR, and vascular experience required,• Siemens equipment experience preferred,• License required if applicable,• Two professional references required for consideration,Additional Information• Responsibilities include multi-modality imaging support during interventional procedures, patient positioning, sterile technique preparation, and first assist duties including sterile back table and intraprocedural supply management,• Performs image post-processing, quality assurance, and systems/quality control checks on equipment,• Coordinates with anesthesia, med/surg, inpatient chemo pharmacy, and ICU teams to minimize patient delays,• Handles procedural documentation including fluoroscopy time and dose, sedation and contrast usage, and procedural coding,• Imports CT scan data to fusion software for real-time roadmapping during aortic repair and records endovascular repair data,• Supports OR radiologic technologists and cardiac cath specialists during intra-operative cases requiring IR equipment,• Assists in administration and documentation of regulated pharmaceuticals including IV contrast and heparin analogues,• Practices optimum radiation protection for patients and staff
