American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI, with experience in general IR procedures required and Neuro IR experience preferred.Job Details• Interventional Radiology department at a 933-bed, Magnet-designated Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Milwaukee, WI,• Department operates 24/7 with 5 procedure rooms,• Adult-only patient population; no pediatrics,• Average daily volume of 40-50 patients,• General IR procedures include kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central lines/PICCs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, thoracentesis/paracentesis, and AAA interventions (AAA experience preferred),• CT room supported by IR performs cryoablations, CT-guided biopsies, and drain placements (daytime only),• Neuro IR procedures include stroke interventions, embolization, DSA, WADA tests, and spinal angiography (daytime only; manager approval required if candidate lacks Neuro IR experience),• 3x12-hour day shifts working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday plus one weekday shift with call; 36 hours per week,• General IR shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Neuro IR shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM,• Weekday call (Monday-Thursday): approximately 1 shift per week, EOS until following day at 7:00 AM; must arrive on-site within 30 minutes of being paged,• Weekend call (Friday-Sunday): once every 5th weekend, EOS Friday until Monday at 7:00 AM,• Travelers without Neuro IR experience will take General IR call only; those with both Neuro IR and General IR experience may be asked to take both,• No floating required,• EMR: Epic (experience preferred),• Imaging equipment: Siemens and GE (experience preferred); Ultrasound: GE,• Other equipment includes MedRad injector, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Change Healthcare PACS, IVUS, laser, Bovie, and Angiojet (experience not required for these),Job Requirements• ARRT RT(R) certification and current BLS required,• Wisconsin state license required if applicable,• Minimum 12 months of IR experience, with most recent experience within the last year,• Ability to independently circulate and scrub both basic and complex IR procedures,• Proficiency in scrubbing and panning simultaneously,• Experience with general IR cases including central lines/PICCs/ports, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, peripheral leg cases, and embolization,• Neuro IR experience preferred but not required; manager approval required if submitting without it,• COVID vaccination required,• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,• Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration,Additional Information• First-time travelers are accepted, provided they have IR experience,• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible,• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restrictions,• Two techs are assigned per exam room, with a third added for complex cases; the same staffing structure applies for call coverage,• Department support includes two lead techs, tech specialists, two coordinators, Respiratory Therapy (24/7), Hospitalist (24/7), and CNA/Transporter (24/7),• Orientation includes 1-2 weeks with a preceptor and competency check-off,• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved during the contract,• No holiday coverage currently required, though this is subject to change (call coverage only if applicable),• Scrubs are provided,• Free parking available on-site with badge access
