Knowledge of medical terminology and forms, equipment, methods and techniques used to provide counseling servicesKnowledge of principles and practices of public health education; pertinent federal, state, and local codes laws and regulations; communicable disease and how to protect themselves from disease process.Understanding of filing system and maintaining a large changing database Ability to work without constant supervision Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree with major course work in Public Health, Natural Science, or a related field, and two (2) full-time years of increasingly responsible disease counseling or prevention experience, required OR An Associate's degree/LVN with four (4) full-time years of TB/STD/HIV experience required. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license. Preferred Requirements:Spanish and English proficiency in oral and written communication preferred.
