Pharmacist - Mckeesport, PA

A retail pharmacy is seeking a part-time Staff Pharmacist to support their team with 20-24 hours per week, including vacation coverage. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced retail environment, filling approximately 300 prescriptions daily. Location: Mckeesport, PA (Retail Setting) Schedule: Monday to Friday, Pharmacy hours 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Shift options: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM Peak hours typically 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 4:00 to 6:00 PM Key Responsibilities: Accurately filling and dispensing prescriptions in alignment with legal and professional standards Providing exceptional patient counseling and medication therapy management during high-volume periods Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintaining detailed pharmacy records using Pioneer Rx software Managing inventory and assuring compliance with pharmacy policies and state regulations Qualifications and Experience: Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in the state Previous retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred Proficiency with Pioneer Rx system is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a busy environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills This opportunity suits a pharmacist who thrives in a busy retail dispensing setting and is looking for a part-time schedule with some flexibility.
