An opportunity is available for a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position requires flexibility in work hours to support departmental needs and offers the chance to apply your expertise in diagnostic radiology across various shifts, including 4-10 hour schedules. Responsibilities include performing a broad range of technical procedures using independent judgment to obtain safe, accurate diagnostic images. You will prepare and position patients, operate radiographic equipment safely, and ensure quality control standards are met. Acting as a clinical coordinator and instructor for imaging students is also part of the role, including evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback. Key duties: Obtain thorough clinical histories and assess patient conditions to ensure safe imaging procedures. Administer contrast media following established protocols to avoid complications. Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of radiographic images. Respond to emergencies, maintain life support equipment, and assist in other imaging modalities as needed. Maintain and disinfect imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly. Explain procedures clearly to patients, addressing their concerns and minimizing anxiety. Document procedures accurately and follow hospital policies and regulatory standards. Manage inventory, patient transport, and clerical duties as necessary. Qualifications and desired experience: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent. Certified by ARRT in Radiography. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Expertise in patient positioning, radiation protection, anatomy, and pathology related to diagnostic imaging.
