This job is ON - SITE.FTE: 1.000000Standard Hours: 40.00Shift: Shift 1Shift Details: Monday through Friday 8a-430p Holidays: No Weekends: No Job Summary:This is a trainee position that will start 7/6/2026 and graduation date will be approximately December 2026. Once you finish the trainee program you will be transferred into open Neurodiagnostic Technologist positions. These positions are not Monday - Friday. Most positions will be NIGHT and EVENING positions. Under supervision, accurately measures and applies electrodes, ensures electrode impedances meet laboratory standards. Observes patients on portable EEG machines through monitoring software and Long Term Monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME) patients for a change in behavior and/or seizures to alert nursing staff. Interacts immediately with LTME patient to test for the patient's ability to remember, read out loud and follow simple commands, and to make sure the patient is safe. May learn the functions of electrodiagnostic (EEG) technology by group and/ or individual teaching, observation, assigned reading, and practical application under direct supervision. Completes charge capture and schedules patients. In addition to learning EEG, may also learn and become proficient in other neurodiagnostic tests such as Autonomics, Electromyography(EMG), and Electrocorticography (ECoG). May float as needed. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of one year of healthcare experience is preferred. Hospital experience is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
