Position Type: Student Support Services/PsychologistDate Posted: 3/19/2026Location: High SchoolDate Available: 2026/2027 Shool YearClosing Date: Open Until FilledPosition Title: School Psychologist/Building LeadFLSA Status: ExemptFTE: 1.0 Position is full-time, based at the High School.Start Date: 2026-2027 School YearJob Summary: Mahtomedi Public Schools is seeking a highly-talented School Psychologist to join our team at Mahtomedi High School. Candidates with leadership experience are preferred as this position also serves as the building/department lead and works closely with the building principals and the Director of Student Support Services. An additional stipend is provided for performing building lead responsibilities. This position has approximately 30-40 evaluations per year, including evaluations at Passages (18-22 Transition). Professional Support:Regular connection and collaboration with other district school psychologists.Support and consultation from the building and district administrative team.Weekly Special Education Leadership Team meetings with Director of Student Support Services.Opportunities to attend professional development and conferences.New staff mentorship program, including time to meet regularly with a mentor.Qualifications:Applicants who will hold the following credentials by August 28, 2026 are welcome to apply. We will work with applicants whose license is in process. Minnesota Teacher License: School PsychologistDuties and Responsibilities:Conducts psychological assessments, functional behavioral analysis.Facilitates communication between teachers, administrators, parents and students to find solutions to academic, behavioral, and mental health problems.Provides psychological counseling based on IEP goals and objectives.Evaluates the effectiveness of academic and behavioral management programs being used; disseminates research for use in evaluations and programs.Provide leadership to staff and administration in the areas of Multi-Tier Systems of support (MTSS).Facilitate data-team (screening/progress monitoring) and child-study team (individual problem-solving) meetings.Building's contact person for communication between buildings or programs.Serve as knowledgeable resource for team members regarding due process rules and procedures.Collaborate with building administration to identify building specific special education needs and plan to address these needs.Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services.Salary and Benefits:Salary:Salary and benefits part of the Teacher Master Contract.Salary placement is based on experience and education level, as per district guidelines.Benefits:Mahtomedi Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits program designed to support our employees.
