Job DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences seeks a collegial and dynamic adjunct faculty member to contribute to innovative teaching in medicinal chemistry. Our Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is offered in both campus-based and online formats, with an integrated curriculum that includes a four-course series titled Principles of Drug Action.We have a teaching need in both the campus-based and online pathways:Campus-Based Program (CBP): Instruction in two courses:Principles of Drug Action I - covering: eicosanoids in pain, inflammation and coagulation, NSAID'd, Immunosuppressants and inflammatory drugsPrinciples of Drug Action III - focusing on infectious disease and cancer drugs.Commitment: 50 hours of instruction during Fall 2026 (August-December).Flexibility: Lecture dates can be adjusted to accommodate availability.Online Program: (OLP) Instruction covering the same course content as CBP, delivered entirely online remotely.Campus based program ( Can be delivered remotely)Weekly facilitated discussions with students are required on a set scheduleCovering: Anti-infective and chemotherapy, Antiprotozoals, Cancer & Drug Therapies of cancerThe course materials and structure are thoroughly developed, offering a solid framework for effective instruction.QualificationsDoctoral degree in Pharmacology, or a related field.Candidates in the early stages of postdoctoral research are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesDeliver pharmacology lectures.Lead group learning sessions in the integrated Principles of Drug Action series.Provide engaging and innovative learning experiences for pharmacy students.Utilize resources from the Butler Center for Academic Technology (CAT) to enhance instructional approaches (DetailsStart Date: August 2026 - December 2026.Campus-based lectures offer some flexibility in scheduling.Online program requires a fixed weekly session.Pay will be based on level of experienceApplication ProcessIn order to be considered, interested candidates should submit:Cover LetterCurriculum Vitae (CV)1-page Statement of Teaching PhilosophyQuestions?
