As an RRT, you will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with respiratory disorders or deficiencies. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, administer therapies, and monitor patient responses. The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Assess patients' respiratory conditions and perform diagnostic testsDevelop and implement respiratory care plans based on patient assessmentsAdminister respiratory therapies and treatments, such as oxygen therapy, bronchodilator administration, and chest physiotherapyMonitor patients' responses to therapies and make adjustments as necessaryEducate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease managementCollaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plansDocument patient care activities accurately and maintain patient recordsAdhere to infection control protocols and safety regulationsRequirements:Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related fieldActive certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)Active licensure in the state you are applying to2+ years of experience as a Respiratory TherapistStrong communication and customer service skillsProficient in the use of respiratory therapy equipment and technologyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamApply today to learn more about what TACT can offer you!
