**Primary City/State:** Phoenix, Arizona **Department Name:** Biomedical Eng-Ref Lab **Work Shift:** Varied **Job Category:** Facilities, Environmental Services, and Culinary **POSITION SUMMARY** Performs and maintains preventative maintenance, repair, analysis, design, modification, installation and evaluation of sophisticated and complex instrumentation used in the clinical laboratory. _Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards._ **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** + Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field. + Six (6) years of clinical lab instrumentation maintenance experience. + OR completion of a Biomed Military training program and six (6) years' progressively more responsible work experience in all phases of clinical laboratory instrumentation. + Proficient at reading and analyzing schematic diagrams, including analog and digital circuits. + Working knowledge of electrical and electronic fundamentals, mechanical and pneumatics theory, digital circuit theory and microprocessor theory. + Proficient in Windows PC and network operating systems, PC repair.
