Laboratory Technician

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a biotech company in the Durham area who is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join their team. This is a contract opportunity lasting 3-5 months, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, must have some flexibility to report in earlier if necessary.Responsibilities:Coordinate and prepare materials for perfusion studies, including tubing setups, perfusate solutions, imaging equipment, and documentation in electronic lab systemsSet up, test, and operate perfusion equipment to ensure accurate and efficient experimental executionProvide hands-on support during perfusion procedures and related experimental activitiesAccurately input and maintain experimental data within internal data tracking systemsPerform post-study cleanup and ensure lab spaces and equipment are properly reset for future useCollect and process tissue samples following experiments, ensuring proper submission for downstream analysisAssist with preparation of biological materials, including animal blood, as needed for studiesMaintain flexibility to support study timelines, including occasional early morning or evening work hoursRequirements:Experience working in a laboratory environmentStrong understanding of and attention to aseptic techniqueAbility to perform repetitive, hands-on tasks consistentlyComfort following established procedures and instructionsBasic documentation skills (notes, photos)1 year undergrad research requiredEducation requirement: AS or BS in Biology or related biological or biomedical science field required
