Sports scorekeeprs are expected to have general knowledge of adult and youth sports programs offered by the City of Fort Collins. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Must be able to work weeknights and some weekends. * Enforce sports rules and policies with participants. * Maintains work area, facilities, supplies and equipment. * Completes a variety of paperwork daily log, results, and incidents reports. * Assist with any first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed. * Provide exceptional customer service to all participants. * Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings * Performs all other related duties. * Maintain professional appearance with required staff shirt and/or jacket. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Ability to work with diverse staff and participants. * Ability to communicate effectively with participants and sports supervisors. * Ability to communicate sports rules, regulations and enforce policies. * Must be organized when completing scorebooks, results, and incident reports. * Ability to remain composed in emergency situations and make sound judgments. * Ability to recognize safety hazards and notify supervisors. * Ability to operate all assigned equipment safely. * Ability to perform first aid as needed. * Ability to provide customer service in a fast paced, chaotic environment. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year of sports-related experience preferred. Must successfully pass all required employment screens.
