MRI Technologist- Newark, DE Job Type: Part-Time/Max. 16 hr/Week Schedule: Thursday & Friday Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 per hourPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and high-quality imaging. The technologist will review physician orders, prepare patients for procedures, operate MRI equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to complete diagnostic studies efficiently.Key Responsibilities: • Review physician requisitions and prepare MRI equipment for imaging procedures • Screen patients for contraindications including metal implants, pacemakers, stents, or other devices • Provide patient instructions and ensure proper removal of metal objects prior to scanning • Prepare patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures • Operate MRI equipment using established imaging protocols • Maintain communication with radiologists during imaging procedures • Assist radiologists during procedures such as arthrograms when required • Monitor patients during scans and respond to any concerns (e.g., claustrophobia or discomfort) • Maintain and organize MRI supplies and equipmentQualifications: • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program • MRI certification preferred or required according to state regulations • Ability to safely screen patients for MRI contraindications • Strong communication and patient care skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment • Must be able to commute between Newark and Dover locationsBenefits: • 401(k) • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Paid Time Off
