In fact, over 30% of our candidates have converted to full-time positions at our client. Job Summary We are looking for individual to join our client's team as Pharmacist. This position is responsible for the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications to hospital inpatients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Job Description Review and verify physician orders for accuracy, dosage, interactions, and therapeutic appropriateness. Prepare, compound, and dispense medications, including sterile IV admixtures, according to established hospital procedures. Monitor and adjust medication therapies based on patient condition, lab results, and clinical response. Provide drug information and consultation to medical and nursing staff regarding appropriate medication use Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making. Support medication safety initiatives and assist in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures. Utilize the pharmacy dispensing system and EMR for documentation and verification of medication orders. Ensure continuous quality improvement in inpatient medication processes. Skills Required At least 1 year of Pharmacist experience Acute inpatient including ED and Psyche Pharmacy dispensing system experience Sterile compounding experience IV room experience Knowledge of an EMR (Electronic Medical Records system) preferred Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required. Valid license to practice as a pharmacist issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required. Additional Requirements Shift: 3:30 PM-12:00 AM - These schedules are every weekend (2 days off Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs) Pay Rate $76- $90 per hour, based on experience, skills and market factors.
