Experience as a Certified Nursing Aide Hourly Tenure Payment1 Year $1.502 Years $2.503 Years $3.504 Years $4.505 Years $5.506 or more Years $6.50 DuPage County is an Equal Opportunity Employer RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities Include:Inspects manual and electric wheelchairs for any repair needsConducts repairs required on wheelchairs such as replacing backs, seats, wheels, and brakesLubricates moving parts, and replaces worn belts and other partsDisconnects, disassembles, cleans and replaces worn partsAssists with all facility wheelchair concernsImplements and adjusts body positioning supports such as leg rests, arm rests, head supports, seat cushion, and height of wheelchairPerforms preventative maintenance on wheelchairsMaintains the repair logs and wheelchair maintenance databaseOrders parts and maintains inventoryParticipates in facility-wide quality improvement initiatives and projects Depending on assignment, may act as CNRA/CNA and provide resident care (e.g. changes, feeds, bathes resident, etc.) REQUIREMENTS INCLUDERequirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:Completion of a High school Diploma or General Equivalency DiplomaSix (6) months of experience in maintenance and repairTwo (2) years of experience as a Certified Nurse's AideCompletion of the State of Illinois Certified Nurse's Aide Training program and a passing score on the State of Illinois Competency test; registered as active with a clear record on the State of Illinois registryCertification as a Certified Rehabilitation Nursing Assistant (CNRA) or Restorative Nursing Aide is required within six(6) months of employmentA post offer physical is required.A pre-employment background check is required.
