Assistant Director of Rehabilitation, PTShift: Full-TimeLocation: Seneca Health Care Center, West Seneca NYAnnual Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience)JOB SUMMARY:Plans, organizes, develops and directs all rehabilitative staff development programs, continuing education programs and policy and procedure implementation and adherence throughout each facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, local and facility guidelines/regulations to ensure that the highest degree of treatment is maintained at all times. Ensures all activities and requirements regarding the organization's rehabilitative staff education/certification programs are met. Revises quality standards, tools, and methods to improve exiting performance techniques via coordination with the organization's head of corporate compliance and each facility's Associate Director for Quality and Education.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Participates and completes mock surveys at all facilities ensuring consistency, continuity and standards of rehabilitative services are being upheldParticipates in NYS Department of Health surveys at all facilities as requested by their supervisorWorks as needed (all shifts) schedule to be flexible, as approved by the Regional Director of Rehabilitation Services, and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctualityCompletes evaluations and /or treatments as needed as called upon by the Regional Director of Rehabilitation Services to satisfy each individual therapy department needs.Monitors and delineates productivity reports as requested by supervisorResponsible for overseeing completion of Plan of Corrected ActionReviews all PT, OT and SLP competencies, policies and procedures and provides all necessary re-education with therapy staffInstructs patients/residents and nursing department personnel in the use of self-help devices, which are determined to be necessary for patient/resident rehabilitation.Conducts in-service education and on the job training in treatment techniques, policy and procedure and inter-departmental carryoverParticipates in the development of rehabilitation department policies and procedures for all company facilities.Maintains knowledge and familiarity of all Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services, New York State Department of Health, NYS Operations Manual regulations and guidelines.Establish and implement continuing education requirements for rehabilitation staffEducates staff in care planning process in accordance with facility policiesActively participates in the patient care plan, development, implementation and evaluation processPromptly reports all needs and concerns to the supervisor or designated alternateParticipates in the education of nursing staff relative to range of motion, and activities of daily living working in cooperation with Associate Director of Nursing for Quality and EducationParticipates in inter and intra-departmental training programsAttends all required in-servicesReviews Policy/Procedures to ensure most current and accurate information is being effectively and appropriately utilizedPerforms any other duties, tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Regional Director of Rehabilitation ServicesREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:Education: Graduate of a school approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association or the American Speech Language Hearing Association.Licensure: Must possess a valid current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.Must possess exceptional management and supervisory skills.Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care and skilled nursing.Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.BENEFITS:Weekly pay checksHealth, Dental, and Life InsuranceRetirement/401k PlanReferral Bonuses Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
