Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)Shift: Full-Time, DaysAnnual Salary: $85,000 - $90,000, depending on experienceSign-on Bonus: JOB DESCRIPTION:The ADON is responsible for monitoring nursing staff, nursing activities, and patient care, as well as ensuring nursing activities comply with federal, state, and local standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, following current rules, regulations, and guidelinesParticipate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the departmentAct as a team member, team leader, and supervisor to ensure work is accomplished and quality care is deliveredSupport team members and leaders in a way that celebrates and encourages hard work and successEnsure that all nursing personnel are following their respective job descriptionsPerform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.Help determine staffing needsProvide direct nursing care as necessaryREQUIREMENTS:Minimum of one-year experience in nursing service administration requiredCurrent and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York requiredEducation or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferredMust be able to demonstrate age-specific knowledge of developmental factors for adult and geriatric residentsDemonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolutionMust be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliableStrong customer service skills and compassionBENEFITS:Weekly PaychecksHealth, Dental, Life InsuranceReferral Bonus up to $500/referralRetirement/401kClinically Complex Positions Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
