This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in Environmental Health & Safety while making a direct impact on employee safety and operational excellence.Position OverviewThe EHS Specialist supports Mustang Cat's compliance with OSHA, DOT, MSHA, and internal safety standards. This role partners closely with leaders across all locations to promote safe work practices, reduce risk, and strengthen safety programs.What You'll DoSafety & ComplianceConduct safety audits and site visits across branch locationsReview safety documentation (DOT logs, safety folders, etc.) for complianceMaintain OSHA logs, accident metrics, and safety reportingSupport MSHA quarterly reporting and compliance effortsMonitor CSA data and partner with leaders on safe driving initiativesProgram ManagementMaintain and support programs including:Forklift safetyLadder safetyFire extinguisher inspectionsFirst aid programsHydraulic jack testingAssist with environmental compliance (waste disposal, oil/water separators, etc.)Manage reporting platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce)Incident & Risk ManagementAssist with accident investigations (auto, general liability, workplace injuries)Analyze safety data to identify trends and root causesPartner with leadership to implement corrective actionsTraining & DevelopmentSupport safety training programs, including:New hire orientationWeekly safety huddlesMonthly safety meetingsAssist supervisors in delivering effective safety trainingEvaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvementsCollaborationPartner with Operations, HR, and leadership teamsParticipate in Safety Council meetingsWork with vendors and insurance representatives as neededWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related fieldStrong communication, organization, and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking toolsAbility to travel to branch locations as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, or related fieldInternship or early experience in EHS or safety-related roleKnowledge of OSHA, DOT, or MSHA regulationsProfessional DevelopmentWillingness to pursue certifications such as:ASP (Associate Safety Professional)CSP (Certified Safety Professional)Key CompetenciesSafety-first mindsetAttention to detailStrong interpersonal and coaching skillsData-driven decision makingAbility to influence without authorityWork EnvironmentCombination of office and field environmentsRegular travel to branch locationsExposure to shop and industrial environmentsWhy Join Mustang Cat?Work for a stable, family-owned company with a strong safety cultureCareer growth and professional development (ASP/CSP support)Competitive benefits package:Medical, Dental, Vision401(k) with company matchPaid time off & holidaysTuition reimbursementBe part of a company committed to "Work Safe" and continuous improvementCheck out the Mustang Cat Anthem to see our mission in action!Having trouble logging in?
