Job Description: This position will provide exceptional, student-centered service, administrative and program support to the Student Care team. The Student Care Assistant ensures the routing of low level student care cases, and will also document internal processes to ensure clear and efficient office operations and case management to promote students' personal well-being and academic success. Work Location: Chalon Campus Start Date: ImmediatelyApplication Deadline: Open until filledHourly Rate: $19.32 - $23.00Position Working Remotely: No - in-person onlyHiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate's qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.Duties and Responsibilities: Provides general administrative assistance for Student Care, Dean of Students Office, Student Conduct, and Title IX, including monitoring and triaging general email inboxes and scheduling support.Compiles basic data about consultations and outreach related to each office/area as needed.Assists with the creation and dissemination of educational resources/information, presentations, and programming for students as it relates to Student Care, Student Conduct, and Title IX. Collaborates with campus partners to host educational presentations, events, and programs and ensure promotional materials are accurate and current. Assists with the development and implementation of marketing plans via social media, print media, event participation, etc. to improve community awareness of each office/area and its function.Supports the Assistant Director of Student Care with student outreach, case management, dissemination of resources, etc. to improve student retention and persistence.Performs specific duties as needed for the OVPSA including supervision and mentoring of 6 undergraduate student employees.Other duties as assigned.Other Duties and Responsibilities:These duties are not performed on a regular basis; duties are assigned on an ad hoc basis, or required to work evenings and/or weekends: Understands and follows FERPA, HIPAA, Title IX, and other relevant laws and regulations, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.Performs other related duties to support the office/areas identified on evenings and weekends, as needed.Requirements: Knowledge: Knowledge of executing workflows and processes.Working knowledge of university, and departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, social media, and general web design for marketing and communication of support services.Abilities and Skills: Strong organizational and record keeping skills.Maintain a high level of confidentiality.Utilize creative thinking and problem-solving skills to improve the efficacy of student care and support. Work independently and organize complex tasks, processes, and information amidst many interruptions and distractions. Can supervise undergraduate student employees.Is flexible and adaptable in a variety of situations.Communicates respectfully and effectively with a diverse group of co-workers, students, faculty, and staff. Remarkable service orientation and customer service skills.Strong time-management skills.Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, sociology, communications, or related field.
