Test Technician (Reliability / Environmental Testing)

Schedule: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM Pay Rate: $28 $38/hour About the Opportunity CalTek Staffing is partnering with an innovative technology company at the forefront of advanced thermal solutions used in data centers, consumer electronics, and next-generation computing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge hardware in a lab environment supporting real-world product reliability and performance. What You'll Be Doing As a Reliability Testing Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring product performance, durability, and quality by executing and supporting a wide range of environmental and mechanical tests. Set up and operate reliability testing equipment (thermal chambers, humidity chambers, pressure cycling systems, etc.) Execute test plans based on engineering specifications Monitor tests and ensure accurate, safe operation Collect and document test data, conditions, and results Troubleshoot test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation Support failure analysis by documenting and collecting failed samples Assist engineers in improving test procedures and processes Maintain lab equipment and support preventative maintenance Ensure compliance with lab safety standards and protocols What We're Looking For Required: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field 2+ years of experience in: Reliability testing Environmental testing Lab technician roles Experience working with environmental chambers or similar test equipment Ability to read engineering drawings and follow test procedures Basic understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems Preferred: Experience with thermal cycling, humidity, or mechanical stress testing Familiarity with failure analysis and documentation Experience with data acquisition tools/software Strong troubleshooting skills in a lab environment Why This Role Stands Out Work with cutting-edge thermal and hardware technology Hands-on lab environment (not a desk job) Opportunity to collaborate with engineers and influence product quality Potential for contract extension based on performance Apply Now If you're a hands-on technician who enjoys working in a lab environment and wants to be part of innovative product development, we'd love to hear from you.
