Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Aston, PA Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour Contractor Work Model: Onsite - onsite Hours: 40.0 hours per week Responsibilities + Assist Laboratory Manager in performing daily laboratory functions, including sample preparation, instrumental analysis by ICP or atomic absorption, titration assays for silver, and fire assays. + Clean, operate, and maintain ICP and AA instruments. + Conduct titrations and fire assays accurately and efficiently. + Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS). + Perform ammonia testing using Ion Selective Electrode (ISE). + Manage inventory and order supplies for the laboratory. + Contribute to analytical method development for non-routine materials. + Prepare standards and reagents as needed for daily analysis. + In the absence of the Laboratory Manager, perform necessary functions normally handled by the manager. Requirements + Associate's degree in a scientific discipline with laboratory experience or at least two years' coursework toward a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline with academic lab experience. Inorganic Chemistry is a plus. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Computer proficiency and experience with laboratory software. + Well-organized, capable of multitasking, and effective in high-pressure situations. + Ability to be versatile and adapt to changing priorities. + Experience with hazardous chemicals preferred. + Experience in safety programs preferred. + Pre-employment drug screening and background checks required. + Valid Driver's License required.
