Job Title: CT Technologist (Radiologic Technologist Computed Tomography) Location: Detroit, MI 48202 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 8-Hour Shifts Afternoons or Midnights (specific schedule to be discussed during the interview) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform computerized tomography imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and excellent patient care. The technologist will operate CT equipment, prepare patients for procedures, administer contrast when required, and collaborate with radiologists to support accurate diagnosis. Key Responsibilities Prepare and position patients while explaining CT procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Review physician orders and patient clinical history to determine appropriate imaging protocols. Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging examinations. Adjust and manually control scanning parameters to obtain optimal diagnostic images. Administer IV contrast using power injectors and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Assist radiologists with complex procedures such as biopsies when required. Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles. Maintain imaging quality and resolve image issues before transmitting studies to PACS. Complete exam documentation and workflow management within RIS and electronic medical records. Prepare procedure rooms and maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and equipment. Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and customer service while maintaining a positive patient experience. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Ongoing continuing medical education required Certifications & Licensure ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Radiography required ARRT (CT) or CT registry eligible BLS Certification (AHA) required Radiologic Technologist license as required by the state Work Environment May work in hospital imaging departments or mobile/ambulatory imaging units. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious environments is possible; appropriate safety protocols are followed. May occasionally assist with lifting or moving patients and equipment.
