Job Description

This role is for an experienced X-ray Technologist skilled in general radiology, orthopedics, trauma, OR, and portable imaging. The position involves working a 12-hour night shift, 7pm to 7:30am, with a schedule of 36 hours per week. The candidate will float across various hospital areas including the ER, OR, and portable imaging, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and trauma cases. Location Based in Shepherdsville, KY, this hospital handles an average of 266 patients daily, with approximately 20 patients per tech and about 8,000 exams per month, offering a fast-paced environment for radiologic professionals. The facility utilizes advanced imaging technology such as Shimadzu, Konica, Fuji, Carestream, GE and Phillips c-arms, and Medtronic o-arm systems along with EMR support via Cerner software. Parking is free with badge access, and the departmental team includes lead techs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7. Qualifications & Desired Experience Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience required State of Kentucky radiology license (KBMIRT) preferred but candidates can apply without the license in-hand BLS certification and ARRT certification required Experience with trauma, orthopedic, general x-ray, OR imaging, and portable exams Ability to work night shift and float between departments Responsibilities Perform general, orthopedic, trauma, OR, and portable x-ray imaging Manage imaging for inpatient, outpatient, ER, and surgical patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for patient care Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards Participate in weekend and holiday rotations on a variable schedule Benefits & Perks Free parking with badge access Supportive departmental team including lead techs on all shifts Access to modern imaging technology and EMR systems Orientation includes 3-4 shifts to acclimate to unit protocols This contract assignment offers a competitive pay rate and an opportunity to gain diverse hospital experience.
