Director of Pharmacy in Easton, PA

An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy (DOP) with potential to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities at a behavioral health facility near Bethlehem, PA. This contract assignment begins immediately to provide interim coverage until a permanent DOP is hired. Location: Behavioral health facility located near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Schedule/Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus on-call duties Weekend order verification from home at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, approximately one hour each session Key Responsibilities: Function in the pharmacist role, including order verification and medication management Attend necessary meetings to support pharmacy operations Manage medication stocking and inventory in Omnicell systems Facilitate new pharmacy start development, initial set up, and policy implementation Support inpatient behavioral health pharmacy services with no technician support available Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Pennsylvania pharmacist licensure is required Proven inpatient pharmacy experience; behavioral health background strongly preferred Familiarity with EPIC order entry system (training provided onsite) Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing preferred but not mandatory Ability to work independently to manage pharmacy operations and compliance Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs attire This contract role is an excellent match for a pharmacist leader with behavioral health expertise who is ready to contribute to an established program's continuity and growth.
