We believe safety is a core value-not just a policy-and we are searching for a dedicated Safety Manager to help lead our safety culture forward.Position OverviewThe Safety Manager provides strategic leadership and oversees all workplace health and safety programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations, permitting, reporting, customer requirements, and internal policies. This leadership role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and sustaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs that uphold the highest safety standards across Robinson.Through both influence and direct leadership, this role collaborates across the organization to identify, develop, and implement effective processes and systems that enhance program maturity, improve risk management, and promote ongoing progress in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability performance.Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, review, and maintain workplace safety policies, procedures, training, and programs for all Robinson locations. Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices. Conduct regular safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments (JSA, safety permits, etc.); verify all safety audits and inspections are performed and documented on a routine basis. Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action planning; establish and monitor a program for reporting and investigation of "near miss" situations. Provide training on OSHA and MSHA standards, hazard recognition, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety topics. Investigate and report workers' compensation injuries and manage return to work activities. Investigate non-injury safety incidents like auto incidents or property damage incidents. Report auto incidents to insurance and manage the claims. Maintain safety documentation, OSHA Logs, training records, and compliance reports. Serve as the primary safety liaison between the company, customers, regulatory agencies, and insurance partners. Partner with operations and HR leadership to promote a positive safety culture throughout all levels of the organization. Ensure compliance with all customer-mandated safety requirements, including site-specific orientations and screenings. Manage industrial hygiene sampling and compliance for all facilities. Manage hazardous waste disposal and reporting, TRI reporting, Tier 2 Reporting and any other applicable environmental management like SWPPP or air permitting. Responsible for the performance and growth of the Safety CoordinatorQualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of experience in occupational safety or safety management. Demonstrated experience managing direct reports. Strong knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and best practices. Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills. Ability to build strong working relationships and influence safe behaviors. Professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, ASP) are a plus.Additional Requirements Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings. Must remain drug-free and fit for duty at all times; compliance is a condition of employment. Ability to travel to all Robinson locations multiple times per year and to customer sites, as business needs require.
