Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CST FA

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Tech First Assistant (STFA) for a day-shift OR position at a hospital in Saint Louis, MO, requiring 2+ years of experience and the ability to scrub across multiple surgical specialties.Job Details• Hospital operating room (OR) complex setting in Saint Louis, MO,• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM),• Weekend hours as needed; holiday coverage on a rotating basis,• On-call requirements apply; specific expectations to be discussed at interview,• Surgical patient population including general, GYN, GU, Ortho, and ENT cases,• Robotic surgical experience preferred,• EMR: Epic,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Minimum 2 years of recent OR/surgical tech first assist experience,• BLS and ACLS certifications required,• CNOR certification required,• Ability to scrub across multiple surgical specialties (general, GYN, GU, Ortho, ENT),• Strong computer navigation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment,• Effective problem-solving skills and ability to deliver quality patient care in an OR setting,• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team,• A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SINs are not accepted,• No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months,• License required if applicable,Additional Information• Opportunity to support coverage for multiple staff on leave while working alongside 7 newly added surgeons on staff,• Scrub color is black; scrubs are provided by the facility,• Flu vaccination is required for travelers working between November 1 and April 1; exemptions must be client-approved,• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment,• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to local contract rate terms,• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
