MRI Technician | Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Join a dynamic imaging department as an MRI Technologist in Shepherdsville, KY. This contract position offers an 8-hour evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, working with an average census of 40 patients per day and supporting a patient load of 6-7 per technologist. This role is perfect for MRI technologists with at least one year of acute care experience, including first-time travelers. Responsibilities: Perform MRI imaging on a diverse patient population, including heavy neuro cases such as spine injuries, strokes, and head traumas. Support imaging needs for student athletes. Operate Siemens Sola and Verio MRI equipment efficiently. Utilize EMR systems, preferably Cerner, for documentation and patient management. Provide excellent patient care with a positive attitude. Collaborate with a 24/7 available radiologist, fellow MRI techs, and a tech assistant. Manage solo MRI shifts as required based on schedule. Adhere to departmental policies and orientation protocols, including a typical two-week orientation period. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year acute MRI technologist experience. BLS certification. National certification in ARRT (MR) or AMRIT. Valid Kentucky state license or qualification under grandfather clause. Strong skills in neuro imaging and patient care. Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Records preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Shift & Scheduling Details: Evening shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
