Black Men's Health Clinic Communications VISTA The City of Austin AmeriCorps VISTA Program works with City departments and local nonprofits to build capacity, in order to provide resources and services to the Austin neighborhoods and communities that may otherwise be left behind by Austin's historic disparities and future growth. The AmeriCorps members serving with the City of Austin AmeriCorps VISTA Program work in such diverse fields as education, health, waste reduction, and housing to cover the myriad ways poverty affects these neighborhoods and communities. Member Duties : The Black Men's Health Clinic (BMHC) Communications VISTA will create a communications playbook to allow BMHC to better promote their programs to relevant communities and stakeholders. They will assess the effectiveness of the clinic's media coordination and outreach practices. And they will evaluate current fundraising systems to refine existing systems and develop new ones, in order to allow BMHC to better and more reliably serve their target communities.
