AT-C Sports Performance - Twin Cities Orthopedics

The Certified Athletic Trainer will work with the sports performance team in the care and prevention of athletic injuries. This position will work closely with physical therapy, sports scientist, and strength and conditioning in the development and management of athletic rehabilitation and sports performance. This individual will assist in the development and implementation of programming related to the progression back to sport.This is a full-time position working various hours based on clinic needs out of our Blaine location.Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.Essential Functions:Highly effective communicator, working in collaboration with physical therapists and sports performance coaches in the development and execution of rehabilitation and performance plansAbility to communicate effectively with physicians and staff within the organization in a professional mannerAbility to work in a fast paced, high energy sports performance clinicDocumenting treatments in EMR in conjunction with physical therapistCreate treating note templates within EMR specific to TCO physical therapy and patient return to sport progressionCollaborate with Director of Therapy, Sports Performance Manager, Sports Medicine Coordinator, Therapy Managers, other internal and externals Personal Trainers/Strength Coaches, and Marketing to develop and implement solutions to sports performance needsProvide education on a regular basis to physicians, physical therapists, and strength coaches throughout the organization to demonstrate the use and importance of athletic training in the aid of sports performance and return to play decisionsRemain active in community projects and outreach in TCO's current contracted relationships as well as development of new relationshipsManage payments, attendance, and accountability reports for programsAbility to work within set budgets for equipment/supply purchasingFoster community relationships relating to sports performance in the community with partners who share in TCO's core valuesParticipate in strategy development and implementation of sports performance program growthParticipate in continuing education routinely in order to maintain state licensure while practicing within the scope of MN State rules/regulationsPromote TCO sponsored sports performance events in the community at health fairs and eventsOccasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year.Maintain safe work environment for self, staff, and patientsAny and all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training/Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science/Kinesiology or related fieldMaster's Degree Preferred in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science/Kinesiology or related fieldPossess and maintain Athletic Trainer Certification with Board of Certification, INC or NATABOC.Possess and maintain Athletic Trainer Registration with Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.Experience working within physical therapy setting, carrying out exercises under the direction of a PTExperience working within a strength and conditioning setting and the ability to write and carry out programming related to return to sport within strength and conditioning.Benefits & Compensation: Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
