POSITION SUMMARY: The HSRC Skills Coordinator oversees the daily clinical, educational, and operational functions of the Health Science Resource Center (HSRC). This role supports student learning by facilitating skills development, reinforcing clinical judgment, and promoting safe, evidence-based patient care practices. The Coordinator collaborates with faculty to deliver high-quality lab and simulation-based instruction, ensuring an engaging and effective learning environment. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and well-equipped facility that aligns with current nursing standards and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensure * Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin or a Nurse Licensure Compact state. * Training, coursework, or equivalent experience in information technology preferred. Experience * Minimum of two years of professional experience in an acute-care healthcare setting, or previous experience in a skills lab or similar environment preferred. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Strong typing accuracy and data-entry skills. Knowledge * Knowledge of educational principles, instructional best practices, and skills‑lab methodologies. * Ability and willingness to collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to foster an exceptional learning environment. ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS: * Demonstrates alignment with the mission, vision, values, and service standards of Bellin College. * Highly self-directed, productive, and skilled in written and verbal communication. * Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making abilities. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to teach individuals or small groups in clinical skills and equipment use. * Leadership skills with the ability to remain organized, detail-oriented, accurate, proactive, and efficient. * Capable of working effectively in fast-paced and stressful environments while maintaining a positive attitude and adaptability. * Strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail and follow-through. * Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA guidelines. * Must be able to lift materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds (intermittently, not continuously).
