This role is responsible for performing a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans. The ideal candidate will have experience in both radiography and CT, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and provide clear instructions regarding proceduresSchedule and prepare patients for CT proceduresPerform complex CT scans using scanners, power injectors, and other related equipment following radiation safety proceduresPosition patients accurately and adjust equipment settings based on individual needsPrepare and administer contrast media and barium as requiredEnsure proper equipment function and promptly report malfunctionsPerform exams per established protocols, policies, and safety standardsReview CT images for quality, ensure proper labeling, and process related paperworkAssist in training and orientation for new CT technologists and student technologistsProvide compassionate care and support to patients and families before, during, and after proceduresQualificationsEducation:Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technologyExperience:Minimum of one year of experience in radiography and/or computed tomographyCertifications & Licensure:State of Florida Radiologic Technologist LicenseARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R))ARRT certification in CT (CT) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hireCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationRequired Knowledge & SkillsProficient in CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomyKnowledge of radiation safety procedures and IV administrationSkilled in operating and troubleshooting radiologic equipmentCompetent in using computer systems for imaging and documentationAbility to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and provide excellent patient careAdditional InformationRadiology Associates of Ocala is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws and regulationsDrug-Free & Tobacco-Free WorkplaceThis organization participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility in the United States
