Building incredible projects requires exceptional people. We are seeking a Temporary Project Engineer (6 month assignment) for a Rahway, NJ jobsite. This position requires on-site presence, applicants must be located within a commutable distance of Rahway, NJ.Why We Need You!We need talented individuals, like you, who care about the company and our customers, and can help us continue to grow and succeed!The RoleThe Project Engineer, Hygienics is responsible for key aspects of the project, related to setup, planning, progress and documentation for validated systems.Accountabilities: Assist Project Manager• Create and update equipment/material logs and populate with necessary information.• Review construction documents, product literature and equipment cuts.• Review and generate equipment and material submittals and submit for approval by design team and owner.• Assist with obtaining material quotes from vendors and releasing items as directed. • Follow up with field team on completed activities and update logs with completed daily/weekly weld counts. • Scan and organize hygienic turnover paperwork.• Assist with compiling and organizing final turnover documentation.• Attend progress and construction meetings as required.• Keep track of inventory status changes.• General assistance to hygienic department/project managers.• Review revised contract documents and work with Project Manager to assist in cost proposals as required.• Review contract documents and extract pertinent information related to constructability.• Review contract requirements and complete essential project set-up reports and submittals.• Create and distribute Requests for Information (RFIs) required to proceed with the construction and design activities.• Review and generate engineer submittals for review by design team and owner. • Track status of RFIs, submittals and material releases.Qualifications:Skills• Knowledge of blueprint reading including flow diagrams and P&ID documents.• Knowledge of Hygienic/Process/Pharma/Validated Systems is a plus.• AutoCAD is a plus - piping isometric sketches for fabrication, 2D as-builts from field markups.• General understanding of Bluebeam Revu and Adobe.• Excel at working in a team environment and possessing strong leadership skills.• Access/SQL database is a plus but not required.• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and have strong organizational and communication skills.• Understanding of general construction and MEP industry.• Strong computer and technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite.• Ability to prioritize, set goals and manage multiple tasks under time constraints and meet strict deadlines• Ability to read or learn to read architectural, structural and mechanical plan and be familiar with a variety of plumbing, HVAC and Process systems and terminology• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, organization, verbal, written and analytical skills Education and Experience• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.• Experience in commercial plumbing, process and HVAC projects preferred.• Must be comfortable working with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.Physical Requirements• Physical activity not limited to climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, liftingBinsky is an EOE.This job description does not necessarily represent an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
