Behavior Intervention SpecialistLocation: Near Albany, NYPay Rate: $25 per hourType: Full-Time | Flexible SchedulePosition OverviewOur mission-driven human services client is seeking a dedicated Behavior Intervention Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities through assessment, intervention, and training. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals build skills, improve quality of life, and achieve greater independence through evidence-based behavioral supports.The ideal candidate is compassionate, highly trained in behavioral or clinical services, and motivated to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide behavioral services including assessments, evaluations, consultations, and interventionsDevelop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory requirementsCollaborate with care managers, advocates, and individuals served to design effective behavioral strategiesDeliver education and training related to behavioral, psychological, and support servicesMonitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes and ongoing evaluationsSupport staff and caregivers through guidance, training, and supervision related to behavior plansMaintain accurate documentation and service recordsJob RequirementsQualificationsMaster's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related clinical or human services field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, School Psychology, Applied Psychology, or similar OPWDD-approved discipline)One of the following credentials required:Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), orNYS License in Mental Health Counseling with OPWDD-approved behavioral training or experienceMinimum of one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilitiesDemonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plansValid New York State driver's license and reliable transportationStrong communication, documentation, and collaboration skillsTo see a full listing of all our open positions, please visit: Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
