PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM ASSISTANT - SESC CONSORTIUM MEMBER DISTRICTS FULL TIME AND SUBSTITUTES NEEDED $14.50 - $18.79 PER HOUR FULL TIME $85.00 PER DAY AS SUBSTITUTE (daily work available at many sites) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Valid Ohio Paraprofessional license * Current BCI & FBI background checks (done within the last 365 days and on file with the Ohio Department of Education); * Letters of reference Preschool Classroom Assistant - Summit Preschool (25-26 School Year) *IMMEDIATE NEED * Join Our Summit ESC Preschool Team as a Classroom Assistant! Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive in a nurturing, playful environment? We are looking for dedicated Preschool Classroom Assistants to join our team serving children with special education needs! Term: 2025-26 school year; Monday - Thursday; 28 hours per week Qualifications and Possible Job Duties Include: * High School Diploma * Previous experience with early childhood children (preschool or kindergarten), early childhood training preferred * Previous experience with working with children disabilities preferred * Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings * Alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable * Support the preschool teacher in supervising children during playground time, restrooms, hallways, snack/lunch, gross motor activities, and bus routines * Help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment * Assist in the preparing teacher-made instructional materials * Set up and clean up classroom centers (art, music, housekeeping, blocks, puzzles, and more) * Help preschool children with daily living skills including removing coat, zipping, buttoning, tying shoes, and toileting * All other duties as assigned Deadline: Until filled Our assistants enjoy the following perks: * 4 day work weeks plus 1 paid training day per month * Payment into State Employment Retirement System (SERS) * Sick leave and personal time * Monthly discounts with Verizon and local businesses Job Type: Part-time Benefits: * Employee Assistance Program * Paid time off * Retirement plan Work Location: In person The Summit County Educational Service Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
