JOB SUMMARY Assists coordination of physician-scientist (PSTP) programming, communications, and trainee support initiatives; oversees Medical Scientist Training Program (MDSTP)-related activities including grant coordination; drives engagement through structured events, feedback integration, and strategic communications; and promotes program impact through digital platforms. This position functions within a hybrid work model, including one designated remote workday per week, aligned with business and operational priorities. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONRequiredEducationBachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field Experience5 years Experience in appropriate field or May consider additional years of experience in lieu of education. JOB DUTIESAnalyzes, coordinates, and evaluates program operation and procedures.Develops or oversees development of budget for program.Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal/external departments/agencies and other organizations associated with and/or receiving benefit from program.Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals.Plans and coordinates special events. Participates in conferences. Presents data and program information.Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.Reads literature and attends functions to keep abreast of relevant scientific and technical developments related to program.May provide supervision to staff members.Performs other duties as assigned. Organizes and coordinates a monthly work-in-progress series and educational series for physician-scientists Organizes and coordinates in-person group activities throughout the year Communicates with departmental research leadership to maintain institution-wide contact sheet Develops and publishes monthly OPSD newsletter Develops and solicits feedback from trainees on OPSD activities Develops ideas for future programming based on the needs and feedback of trainees Serve as program coordinator for MDSTP trainees Prepares, coordinates, and submits grants in coordination with MDSTP trainees Promotes physician scientist activities/accomplishments through social media platforms.
