Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionGirgis ENT is an independent otolaryngology practice in the Chicago western suburbs. Our board-certified physicians provide a diverse and comprehensive range of both general and subspecialty services that are complemented by our audiology services. We are currently looking for a full or part time audiologist to join Girgis Hearing. This position is open for a highly qualified, Illinois licensed, doctor of Audiology to assist in providing comprehensive diagnostic testing, hearing consultations, complete hearing aid services as well as VNG testing.We believe in personalized medical care, and that the patient/doctor relationship will always be the gold standard. Girgis & Associates.Diagnostic Specific Responsibilities:Performs diagnostic hearing evaluations across the lifespan as ordered by the physiciansComprehensive hearing evaluationsTympanometryAcoustic ReflexesDPOAEsVisual Reinforcement AudiometryVNGsHearing Aid Dispensing Responsibilities:Fits and dispenses hearing aids and LyricPerforms hearing aid repairs and other maintenance as requested by the patientFollows up with hearing aid patients annually to ensure the hearing aid is serving the patient wellCounsels patients for hearing loss and hearing loss preventionCompletes earmold impressionsPerforms real-ear measurementsSelecting and programming assistive listening devices, custom swim plugs, and custom hearing protectionGeneral Responsibilities:Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functionsMaintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practiceAdds add-on patients to schedule and creates patient encounter as received by physiciansCompletes all encounters with correct diagnostic codes and v-codesCompletes all chart notes for hearing aid patientsScans all audiograms and VNG reports into patient's ModMed chartScans all invoices into appropriate category in patient's chartAttendance at staff meetingsAttends continuing education sessions as requestedPerforms any additional duties as requested by the lead clinical audiologist and/or Practice Manager and physiciansRequirementsPrevious experience working in ENT practice setting (preferred, not required)Current Illinois LicensureSalary Description Starting salary from $80,000
