Providence Medical Group is seeking a full-time compassionate, skilled, and team‑oriented nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the Medical Oncology team in Edmonds, Washington. This role is ideal for an APC who thrives in a collaborative environment, values continuity of care, and is committed to supporting patients and families throughout their cancer journey. You will work closely with medical oncologists, infusion center staff, nurses, and multidisciplinary partners to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered oncology care. Key Responsibilities: _Clinical Care_ * Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with solid tumor malignancies in both clinic and infusion settings * Conduct new patient assessments, follow‑up visits, symptom management visits, and urgent oncology evaluations * Manage treatment‑related toxicities, supportive care needs, and chronic disease issues related to cancer and its therapies * Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging; adjust treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologists * Perform procedures within scope of practice (e.g., bone marrow biopsies, intrathecal chemotherapy, or others depending on training and program needs) * Participate in shared call or after‑hours responsibilities as assigned (if applicable to the site) _Team Collaboration_ * Partner closely with medical oncologists to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless transitions across the continuum * Work collaboratively with infusion nurses, pharmacists, social workers, nutritionists, and other supportive care providers * Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate * Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical pathways, and evidence‑based practice standards _Patient & Family Support_ * Provide education on diagnosis, treatment options, side effect management, and survivorship planning. * Offer empathetic, culturally sensitive communication to patients and families navigating complex decisions. * Promote patient empowerment, shared decision‑making, and holistic care Compensation & Benefits: * Compensation is between $139,170 and $174,898 per year _The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them._ Qualifications & Requirements: * Current and valid Washington State license as an ARNP or PA‑C * National certification as an ARNP (AANP/ANCC) or PA‑C (NCCPA) * DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start) * Oncology experience or strong interest in oncology with willingness to train * Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with supervising physicians * Seeking only candidates with experience, we are unable to accept new graduates Where You'll Work The Swedish Cancer Institute is one of the premier cancer care and clinical research centers in the Pacific Northwest.
