OT Solutions Specialist, Junior

Audubon is seeking a motivated and technically curious Junior OT Solutions Specialist to join our growing Operational Technology (OT) Solutions team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in developing hands-on experience in industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, and control system environments.The Junior OT Solutions Specialist will work under the guidance of senior engineers and the OT Solutions Supervisor, supporting project execution, documentation, testing, and field activities while developing foundational skills in OT systems and standards.This position emphasizes mentorship, structured learning, and long-term career development within the OT discipline. This position may be offered as full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability and business needs.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Key Areas of Responsibility will include:Assist with the implementation and support of OT network and cybersecurity solutions in industrial environmentsSupport senior team members during client projects, including site work, testing, and commissioning activitiesAssist with network and system configuration tasks under supervisionDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, inventories, and configuration recordsAssist with the deployment and support of OT infrastructure systems, including virtualization infrastructure, Windows-based servers, identity services, and backupsSupport routine maintenance activities such as system patching, backup verification, and documentation under supervisionParticipate in troubleshooting efforts for OT issues with guidanceLearn and apply OT cybersecurity concepts, standards, and best practicesSupport integration efforts between OT systems and IT infrastructureFollow established safety, security, and change management proceduresWork Location & TravelThis role is based out of Audubon's Houston office. Due to the hands-on mentorship and training required for this position, candidates must be able to work on-site in Houston. Travel to client sites may be required on a limited basis.EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing concepts)Familiarity with basic cybersecurity conceptsWillingness to learn OT systems, industrial protocols, and plant environmentsStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetAbility to travel to client sites as requiredPreferred QualificationsInternship or academic exposure to industrial, automation, or OT environmentsFamiliarity with Cisco networking equipment or similar platformsFamiliarity with Windows Server fundamentals, Active Directory, and basic virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)Interest in OT cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82)Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
